We chose the name 1918 Yarn Company because that's the year our building was built and in this building was where our company came to life. The bases are named for the buildings here on Portage Trail. Our building is Snook (Sport), next door is Porter (BFL Worsted) and two doors down is Fox (Sock)! Our Senich (SW Worsted) is named for the building across the way from us.
Colorways are (for the most part) named for people, places or events that have a connection to the year 1918 and we're having fun exploring that era and taking you on a little historical tour!
